Designing a Community-based Preparedness Model of Iranian Medical Sciences Universities for Providing Earthquake Victims with Healthcare Services

INTRODUCTION: Iran, as one of the most earthquake-prone countries in world, has been always presented with daunting challenges providing medical services to victims. The present study aimed achieve a model for community-based preparedness Iranian science universities provide health earthquake METHODS: This qualitative was performed based on grounded theory method defined by Strauss and Corbin. statistical population included university professors, senior managers universities, crisis management consultants, non-governmental organization experts universities. subjects were selected via purposive method; accordingly, sample size obtained at 11 cases, required data collected through semi-structured interview. In analysis information, open coding, axial selective coding used manually. FINDINGS: findings form paradigm face crises. Based results this research, 21 categories (variables) identified. According research model, these variables classified into six categories, including causal factors, contextual central core, intervening strategic consequential factors. CONCLUSION: As evidenced results, important achievement prove numerous benefits better also many practical strategies this.
